The Jerusalem District Court has exempted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from testifying for the next two weeks.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has got a big relief. After US President Donald Trump’s comment in a corruption case, the Israeli court has postponed the hearing against Prime Minister Netanyahu. US President Trump has confirmed this through social media.

This case against Benjamin Netanyahu has been going on for the last 4 years. Netanyahu has been accused of bribery, fraud and breach of trust in three different cases. At present, a few hours after US President Trump’s demand to close this case, the court has postponed the hearing.

The District Court of Jerusalem said in a comment that Netanyahu has been exempted from testifying for the next two weeks, the reason for this has been cited as diplomatic and national security concerns. This order came two days after the decision in which the judge rejected the repeated demand of the Israeli Prime Minister to postpone the hearing.

Earlier, Donald Trump strongly criticised the ongoing corruption case against Netanyahu on Truth Social, calling it a political conspiracy. Trump wrote, ‘What is being done to Netanyahu in Israel is extremely shameful. He is a war hero and he did a great job with the US to eliminate the dangerous nuclear threat of Iran.’

Donald Trump warned, ‘The United States spends billions of dollars every year to protect and support Israel, which is more than any other country. We will not tolerate this.’ Trump also claimed that keeping Netanyahu busy in this matter would hinder the ceasefire and hostage release efforts in Gaza, as well as the fragile ceasefire with Iran.

On this, Benjamin Netanyahu thanked Donald Trump. Netanyahu said in his reply, ‘Thank you once again, Donald Trump. Together we will make the Middle East great again.’
