In 2026, a Panchang with one date and one festival will be released for the entire state. This will also eliminate the difference between the fasts, festivals, dates and festivals of the state. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Kashi Vidvat Parishad has prepared its blueprint and it will also be sent to the Chief Minister on April 7, 2025 .

The rule of one date one festival will now be applicable in the entire state. The fasts, festivals and holidays of the state will be decided on the basis of the almanac published from Banaras. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Kashi Vidvat Parishad has prepared its blueprint. After the consent of all the almanac makers of the state, work has also started in this direction.

After uniformity in the Panchangs of Kashi, now preparations have started to unify the dates of the Panchang of the state. In 2026, a Panchang with one date and one festival will come out for the entire state. It will be released to the general public on Navsamvatsar. This will also remove the difference between the fasts, festivals, dates and festivals of the state. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Kashi Vidvat Parishad has prepared its blueprint and it will also be sent to the Chief Minister on April 7, 2025.

Kashi Vidvat Parishad General Secretary Prof. Ramnarayan Dwivedi said that a team of prominent Panchangkars of the state along with the scholars of Kashi has been formed to prepare the Panchang of the state. It will be prepared on the formula of one date, one festival and one Panchang by accurately determining the chronology, date, festival of the next year.

In the astrology conference held recently at Kashi Hindu University, Panchangkars have reached a consensus on this. It will be published in the upcoming Navsamvatsar in 2026. Annapurna Math Temple will take the responsibility of its publication. This will be the first time when the differences on festivals in the entire state will be resolved. It will be published for Samvat 2083 i.e. 2026-27.

Uniformity has been achieved in the Panchangs of Kashi

With the cooperation of Kashi Hindu University, Kashi Vidvat Parishad and Panchangkars of Kashi, the differences in the Panchangs of Kashi have been removed. It has started from Chaitra Pratipada. This includes the Vishwapanchang prepared by BHU, Rishikesh, Mahavir, Ganesh Apa, Aditya and Thakur Prasad’s Panchang. After three years of hard work, Kashi’s Panchangs have become uniform.

There will be no difference in festivals

The difference in Chaitra Shukla Pratipada, Navratri, Ramnavami, Akshaya Tritiya, Ganga Dussehra, Rakshabandhan, Shravani, Janmashtami, Pitru Paksha, Mahalaya, Vijayadashmi, Deepawali, Annakoot, Narak Chaturdashi, Bhaiya Dooj, Dhanteras, Kartik Ekadashi, Devdeepawali, Sharad Purnima, Surya Shashthi, Khichdi and Holi will end.

The confusion in the society will end

Prof. Vinay Pandey of the Department of Astrology of BHU says that the confusion in the society will end due to the uniformity of Panchangs. Only Udaya Tithi is not important in determining festivals. For the fast festival of Ram Navami, Madhyahnavyapini, Pradoshvyapini on Deepawali, and midnight on Shivratri and Janmashtami are important. In general fast festivals, Udaya Tithi is considered. Fast festivals are decided according to the dates prevalent in the time period.
