Rajasthan Royals head coach Rahul Dravid believes that in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League, his team can provide a good environment for 13-year-old Vaibhav Raghuvanshi to flourish. Suryavanshi, an eighth class student from Samastipur district of Bihar, was bought by the Royals for Rs 1 crore 10 lakh and became the youngest player to get an IPL contract.

Suryavanshi scored 104 runs in 62 balls in that match. He made his T20 debut for Bihar on Saturday in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Rajasthan, scoring 13 runs in six balls.
Did not play any big innings in first class
Suryavanshi, who was in the news on the junior circuit, has not played any big innings in first class cricket. He has scored runs at an average of 10 in five matches. Suryavanshi, a resident of Samastipur, Bihar, made his debut in the 2023-24 Ranji Trophy season against Mumbai when his age in the official records was 12 years 284 days, making him the youngest player in the history of the tournament.
Scored nearly 400 runs in Vinoo Mankad Trophy
At the age of 12, he played Vinoo Mankad Trophy for Bihar and scored nearly 400 runs in five matches. Dravid said that his target in the auction was bowlers. Royals bought fast bowlers Akash Madhwal, Jofra Archer, Tushar Deshpande, Fazalhaq Farooqui, Ashok Sharma and Quena Mphaka. Among spinners, he bought Mahish Theekshana and Kartikeya Singh.
