Voting percentage released till 9 am, Kundarki has the highest voting

UP By-Election 2024: Voting has started on 9 assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh. Voting will be held from 7 am to 5 pm. Votes are being cast in a total of 3718 polling booths in the by-election. There are a total of 34,35,974 voters in 9 by-elections, including 18,46,846 men, 15,88,967 women and 161 third gender voters. A total of 90 candidates are in the fray on all these seats, including 11 women candidates. Meanwhile, till 9 am, Kundarki seat has got the highest number of votes in UP.

Kundarki- 13.59
Meerapur- 13.01 percent
Katehari- 11.48 percent
Manjhwa- 10.55 percent
Karhal- 9.67 percent
Khair- 9.03 percent
Phulpur- 8.83 percent
Sisamau- 5.73 percent
Ghaziabad- 5.36 percent
Apart from voter photo identity card, 12 other identity cards will be valid for identification of voters at polling station. Any complaint related to voting can be lodged on 18001801950. Chief Electoral Officer informed that in the by-election, voting will be held at 3718 polling booths of total 1917 polling centres. Out of which 1237 are critical. To keep a close watch on the voting, 09 general observers, 05 police observers and 09 expenditure observers have also been deployed by the commission. Apart from this, 350 sector magistrates, 56 zonal magistrates, 60 static magistrates and 745 micro observers have also been deployed. 16318 polling personnel have been deployed to complete the election process.
