If the bill was unconstitutional, the court would have cancelled it: Rijiju

Some leaders are saying that this bill is unconstitutional, I want to ask them how can they say this? If it was unconstitutional, the court would have cancelled it. Words like unconstitutional should not be used. This bill is not against the Constitution, as the opposition is claiming. We should not use the words constitutional and unconstitutional lightly.

After this, he targeted AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi and said, Asaduddin Owaisi raised many issues and alleged that provisions are being made in Waqf for Muslims and children of Muslims, but why not for Hindus? I want to tell them that there is already a provision for Hindus, there is no need to make a new law for this.

You made this effort by making a separate bill and the minister said that he wants to give rights to the Muslims of the Pasmanda section. This government has eaten up the reservation of the majority section of the country. It is understandable how much pain the backward and minorities of Uttar Pradesh are in.

We have never snatched anything from anyone, we have given it to those who have come as refugees. You are raising doubts on this India, what is the status of Waqf Board in Muslim countries, there is Waqf Board in India and its property has been given legal protection. Despite this, why is there a ruckus. If Modiji is giving security to the woman, then what problem can anyone have. Waqf means donation. Donation is important in Hindu, Christian, all. Donate to the poor, you will find God. At the same time, in Islam too, Zakat has been mentioned in the name of Sadqa. Waqf donation land has been made for charity, today people are calling this amendment unconstitutional.

I have not come to oppose any party. The bill brought against the Waqf Bill, you say it is for security and for women. You do not bring the bill for reservation of women because you do not want to give reservation to Dalit-backward women.
