Yogita Mandavi from Kondagaon receives Prime Minister’s National Children’s Award

Yogita Mandavi honored with National Children’s Award for outstanding performance in Judo: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai extends congratulations and best wishes

Raipur: Yogita Mandavi, a talented girl from Kondagaon district of Chhattisgarh, has brought glory to the state and the country with her outstanding performance in the field of Judo. Yogita, who grew up in a girls’ home run by the Chhattisgarh State Child Welfare Council in Kondagaon, has been awarded the prestigious Prime Minister’s National Children’s Award for her remarkable achievements in sports on Friday December 26, 2025 .

The national honor was presented to Yogita Mandavi by President Droupadi Murmu at a grand ceremony held at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi. At the ceremony, talented children selected from across the country were honored for their outstanding contributions in various fields such as sports, innovation, social service, art and culture, etc.

It is worth mentioning that Yogita Mandavi has demonstrated her exceptional talent in Judo at a young age. At just 13 years old, she achieved the status of the state’s best Judo player. Since then, she has consistently won medals in various national-level competitions, showcasing her continuous progress and determination.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai expressed his happiness over Yogita Mandavi’s achievement and wished her a bright future.

CM Sai said that the success of talented children inspires the new generation to move forward and realise their dreams. Yogita’s achievement is not only a matter of pride for Chhattisgarh but also a powerful source of inspiration for children living in girls’ homes and child welfare institutions.

She has proven that it is not the limitations of resources, but dedication and hard work towards one’s dreams that are the true foundation of success.
