Midway through a TV show, US President Donald Trump began flirting with the show’s host. He did this solely to evade answering questions concerning the current plight of the Iranian people.

A video is currently going viral on the internet, in which US President Donald Trump is seen flirting with the show’s host instead of answering a serious question regarding Iran. Trump attempted to deflect a question concerning the situation of Iranian citizens caught in the conflict, shifting the conversation to a past encounter with the host and offering her compliments.

During a live telephonic interview on the news program, Fox News host Dana Perino expressed concern to President Trump regarding the lack of information emerging from Iran. She asked whether the citizens there were able to access basic necessities such as drinking water and food. “It is concerning that we are unable to establish contact with any Iranian citizens. Do they have drinking water? Do they have food right now?” she asked. In response, instead of answering the question, Trump began complimenting Perino.

Rather than giving a direct answer, Trump referenced a past meeting, asking Perino, “Do you remember when we had lunch at Trump Tower years ago? You haven’t changed a bit; in fact, you’ve become even more beautiful.” He then added that such remarks could now potentially end his political career, noting that “calling a woman beautiful is now forbidden.”

This exchange elicited visible smiles and light laughter from the show’s panelists. Trump eventually returned to the topic, though he still did not directly answer Perino’s specific questions regarding the availability of food and water in Iran. Instead, he spoke about the risks faced by Iranians who are protesting against their government.
