‘8-10 crore people are present in Maha Kumbh, there is pressure but the situation is under control…’, CM Yogi made this appeal to the devotees

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath

Prayagraj: Yogi Adityanath said that I appeal not to pay attention to rumours, work with patience. This event is for all the people. The administration is working diligently to serve them. If anyone tries to spread rumours, it can cause harm.

On the stampede incident that took place late Tuesday night at Sangam Nose of Mahakumbh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that there is heavy pressure on Sangam Nose, Akhara Marg and Nag Vasuki Marg at the moment. But the situation is under control. Eight to ten crore devotees are present in Prayagraj at this time.

After a review meeting with senior officials on the stampede in Mahakumbh, he said that this incident took place at Sangam Nose of Akhara Marg between one and two o’clock in the night. Some devotees have been injured while jumping over the barricades. They have been taken to the hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.

He said that yesterday five and a half crore devotees took bath in Mahakumbh. There is constant pressure on Sangam Nose. But the administration is present on the spot. Since morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been spoken to four times regarding the current situation. He has enquired about the current situation. Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President JP ji have also taken stock of the situation.
