Government jobs in UP: There is good news for the youth who dream of becoming teachers in secondary schools in UP. The way has been cleared for the recruitment of 10 thousand teachers in the state.
Lucknow: The way has been cleared for recruitment to about 10 thousand posts of Assistant Teacher (LT Grade) and Lecturer in the secondary schools of the state. The state cabinet has approved the amendment in the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Education Service Rules 2024 by circulation. Under this, the word equivalent has been removed from the qualification for recruitment to these posts.
Recruitment is done to the posts of Assistant Teacher and Lecturer in the schools of secondary education. In this, the qualification for Assistant Teacher was graduation, B.Ed or equivalent qualification in the relevant subject. Similarly, for the post of lecturer, graduation, B.Ed or equivalent qualification in the relevant subject was written. Recently, many cases related to this went to the court and the equivalent qualification was challenged. Due to this, recruitment in secondary schools was affected for a long time.
At the same time, the Public Service Commission had also written a letter to the Secondary Education Department demanding to define equivalent qualification. In view of this, the Secondary Education Department had sent a proposal to the cabinet for the promulgation of UP Subordinate Education (Trained Graduate Category) Service Sixth Amendment Rules and UP Special Subordinate Educational (Lecturer Cadre) Service Second Amendment Rules 2024. Additional Chief Secretary of Secondary Education Department Deepak Kumar said that the cabinet has given its consent to this proposal.
Equivalent word removed
According to this manual amendment, in view of the controversy, the department has removed the word equivalent from the qualification of these two posts and fixed graduation/post graduation in the relevant subject and B.Ed degree from an institute recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). At the same time, with the amendment in this manual, the way has been cleared for the recruitment of teachers on about 10 thousand posts. Soon the revised requisition will be sent by the department to the Public Service Commission for recruitment to these posts.
