Jagdalpur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai reached Jagdalpur on Tuesday April 15, 2025 on a two-day visit where public representatives and senior officials gave a warm welcome to Chief Minister Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma on their arrival in Jagdalpur on a two-day Bastar visit at the local Maa Danteshwari Airport. During this, Forest and Water Resources Minister Kedar Kashyap, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Finance Commission Nivas Rao Maddi, MP Bastar Mahesh Kashyap, MLA Jagdalpur Kiran Singh Deo along with Commissioner Bastar Division Doman Singh, IG Bastar Range Sundarraj P., Collector Haris S., SP Shalabh Kumar Sinha and other officials welcomed them.
After reaching . Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the Chief Engineer Office of the Water Resources Department in Jagdalpur. The opening of this office will greatly facilitate the departmental work of all the seven districts of Bastar Division. Survey, DPR preparation and technical approval of construction works related to water resources will be expedited. Earlier, one had to go to Raipur for approval of these works. Now these works will be done in the divisional headquarters Bastar itself.
Approval has also been given in the budget for the appointment of officers and employees at various levels in the new office of the Chief Engineer of the Water Resources Department, which was started on the special initiative of Water Resources Minister Kedar Kashyap. At present, this office is being operated on the upper floor of the Indravati Project Board Building, the Superintending Engineer Office in Jagdalpur.
