Home Minister Vijay Sharma’s statement on the increasing crime and Naxalism in Chhattisgarh, said- The administration will work with all its heart and soul to eradicate Naxalism from the State

Raipur. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma has given an important statement regarding the increasing crime cases in the state in Raipur. He said that a major initiative will be taken in the police department from September. Under this, meetings will be held in the SP offices of all ranges, in which the key performance of SPs and Thanedars will be decided. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the number of crimes from January to June 2024 is less as compared to the figures from 2021 to 2023, but this is not a matter of satisfaction. He clarified that even low crimes are a matter of concern for the government and the society, and strict action will be taken.


At the same time, he said about the statement given by Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the elimination of Naxalism in the coming few months that the resolve of Union Home Minister Amit Shah is very big. In the last few months, the soldiers have done wonderful job under the campaigns, all deserve praise. We will work with all our heart and soul to free the country and the state from Naxalism. He said that every effort will be made for the development of the people and villages of Bastar within the stipulated time frame.

More facilities will be added to the surrender policy
The Deputy Chief Minister also gave a statement regarding the surrender policy of Naxalites in Chhattisgarh. He said that it takes time to win social trust, and it is difficult to organise life after returning from the forest. Therefore, more facilities will be added to the surrender policy, so that the surrendered people can lead their lives smoothly.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma also said that the surrendered people of Bastar are given special treatment, where they can be made gunmen by giving them a gun within seven days. The people of Bastar are trustworthy and once they take a decision, they do not back out. However, after spending a long time in the forests, there are difficulties in reorganising life, for which this initiative is being taken.

Work is being done on four dimensions

Regarding the elimination of Naxalism, he said that work is being done on four dimensions in Bastar. Children and youth between 13 to 18 years of age are kidnapped from their homes and made Naxalites, activities are also being done for this. Some NGOs have come forward for the victims and work is also being done by the government. Work is being done on all fronts ,continuous efforts are being made to ensure that the people of Bastar are safe and their culture is preserved.
