Government employees will be allowed to invest in shares and mutual funds, intraday trading is prohibited

Raipur: The General Administration Department has notified amendments to the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1965, under which, on the lines of the provisions of the Government of India, now the government servants of the state are allowed to invest in shares, securities, debentures and mutual funds. This amendment has been implemented by adding a new sub-section in Rule 19, which aims to ensure transparency in financial transactions.

However, it has been clearly provided in the notification that the ban on investment activities of the nature like intra-day trading, BTST, Future and Options (F&O) and cryptocurrency will remain in force.
