Raipur : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday July 17, 2025 flagged off 151 vehicles for the field health staff from his residence premises and sent them to various districts. On this occasion, he said that through these vehicles, people in remote areas of Bastar and Surguja region will also be able to get timely and effective treatment. This will prove to be a strong initiative towards ‘Healthy Chhattisgarh’

Chief Minister said that today a new chapter has been added towards making Chhattisgarh’s health system strong and accessible. Old, unusable vehicles have been scrapped and replaced with state-of-the-art new vehicles. This initiative will also speed up the effective implementation, timely inspection and monitoring of national health programmes.

Chief Minister Sai said that the vehicles being made available for the officers and field health workers working at the district and block level will enable regular inspection, monitoring of health camps, quick access to remote areas and timely intervention in emergency situations.

This will make the operation of national health programmes more effective and dynamic and the health service delivery system in the state will become more active, responsive and result-oriented. This initiative will work to speed up the entire health system of the state.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that these vehicles will be made available to all the districts of the state in a phased manner. In the first phase, these vehicles are being sent to 12 districts of Bastar and Surguja divisions. He also informed that soon 851 new ambulance services will be started in the state, out of which 375 ambulances will be provided for 108 emergency services, 30 ambulances for rural mobile medical units and 163 ‘Muktanjali’ hearse vehicles under free service.

Chief Minister Sai said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is working dedicatedly for the upliftment of tribal communities. Under his guidance, 30 ambulances will also be arranged soon for special backward tribes under the Prime Minister’s ‘Jan Man Yojana’. The Chief Minister said that now even in challenging times like rainy season, the state government will be able to fulfill its resolve of providing health services to every household with full readiness. He informed about the efforts being made by the state government to strengthen health services and reiterated his continuous commitment in this direction.

Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, while addressing the program, said that the state government is continuously working towards improving health facilities with full capacity. He informed about the efforts being made by the government to strengthen the health infrastructure and congratulated the field health staff for this special gift.

On this occasion, CGMSC Chairman Deepak Mhaske, Wakf Board Chairman Dr. Salim Raj, Health Department Secretary Amit Kataria, Commissioner Dr. Priyanka Shukla along with a large number of officers and dignitaries were present.
