The closeness of the Thackeray brothers is increasing continuously in Maharashtra politics. This was once again seen on Sunday when MNS chief Raj Thackeray reached Matoshree to wish Uddhav Thackeray on his birthday. It is worth noting that Raj Thackeray reached Matoshree after about 13 years. Earlier, Raj Thackeray had reached Matoshree in the year 2012. At that time, Uddhav Thackeray had undergone angioplasty, then Raj Thackeray had reached Matoshree to inquire about the health of Shiv Sena UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray.

Raj Thackeray left Shiv Sena in the year 2005 and since leaving Shiv Sena, till today, Raj Thackeray had visited Matoshree only once. This is the reason that when Raj Thackeray reached Matoshree on Sunday July 27, 2025 , it is being discussed a lot in the political corridors of Maharashtra. This meeting of the two brothers is being seen as the rapid melting of the ice in the relationship.
