Prime Minister Narendra Modi met President Draupadi Murmu in the midst of the monsoon session, after which Union Home Minister Amit Shah also reached Rashtrapati Bhavan and met her. Political meanings are being drawn from Modi-Shah’s meeting with the President in a single day, which is also being linked with August 5.

The monsoon session of the Parliament is underway. There is a war going on from the House to the streets over the SIR of Bihar. Meanwhile, on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met President Draupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Not even four hours had passed since meeting PM Modi that Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached the Rashtrapati Bhavan to meet President Murmu. Political discussions have heated up in the power corridors of Delhi regarding the meeting of PM Modi and Home Minister Shah with the President.

The meeting of PM Modi and Amit Shah with the President has created a stir in the political corridors. The detailed information of their conversation with the President has not been made public, but considering the stature of both the leaders, this meeting is being considered important. The question is being raised that what is the reason that the two most powerful faces of power are meeting different Presidents?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah met President Draupadi Murmu at a time when the process of election of the next Vice President has formally begun. Apart from this, the opposition is constantly raising questions on the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Review (SIR) process in Bihar.

In such a situation, does this meeting have any connection with August 5, because on social media, Modi-Shah’s meeting with the President is being linked.

Meaning of Modi-Shah’s meeting with the President

The reason for the meeting between PM Modi and President Murmu is not clear yet. In this regard, neither the Rashtrapati Bhavan nor the Prime Minister’s Office has given any information about the matter in which the meeting took place. In such a situation, the meeting between Amit Shah and the President has intensified the political stir. One big reason is that such meetings are not common at all. Usually, when the Prime Minister and the Home Minister meet the President, it is either a formal meeting or they go together on a special occasion. It is not normal for these two leaders to meet the President on the same day and with a difference of a few hours.

Political analysts and those who keep an eye on politics believe that the government is considering taking some big decision or taking a step. Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned from the post of Vice President on the first day of Monsoon session, about which there has been some talk. Apart from this, it is believed that the government is going to bring a big bill in the Parliament, about which PM Modi and the Home Minister have reached to inform the President. Although, there has been no statement from the government on this meeting, but it is certain that the government is going to do something big.

5 August connection of meeting with the President

Modi-Shah’s meeting with Draupadi Murmu before the President is being linked with August 5. It is being discussed that the government is bringing a big important bill on August 5, because on August 5, 2019, the Modi government decided to abolish Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and divide the state into two parts. After this, on August 5, 2020, PM Modi laid the foundation stone of Ram temple in Ayodhya.

The Modi government took two historic decisions in the country on August 5, due to which the date of August 5 became special in itself. In such a situation, due to PM Modi and Amit Shah meeting the President, the discussion of August 5 has intensified that the government can consider some big constitutional or political decision, whether it is an important appointment or a decision at the level of the President. There are talks of introducing many sensitive bills in Parliament, in which there are speculations of bringing Uniform Civil Code (UCC). Dhami government in Uttarakhand has implemented UCC. BJP governments of Assam and Gujarat have announced to bring UCC at the state level. PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have also spoken about UCC. UCC has been a part of the core agenda of BJP, in which the dream of construction of Ram temple and Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir has come true. Only UCC is left, which has to be implemented. Meeting amid the announcement of Vice President’s election This meeting with the President has taken place at a time when the process for the election of the next Vice President has formally started.
