Raipur : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met Asian African Pacific Powerlifting Championship gold medalist Nami Rai Parekh at his residence office on August 6, 2025 . A proud resident of Raipur, Nami informed the Chief Minister about the championship which was held from July 5 to 13, 2025 in Himeji, Japan, organised by the Asian Powerlifting Association. Competing in the 57 kg deadlift category, she clinched the gold medal, bringing glory to India and Chhattisgarh.

CM Sai extended heartfelt congratulations to Nami Rai Parekh for her remarkable achievement. He lauded her dedication and hard work, stating, “You have made Chhattisgarh proud with your perseverance and success. Your achievement will surely inspire countless daughters of the state.”

The occasion was also graced by the presence of Anjay Shukla, Anjinesh Shukla, Sunny Parekh, and other dignitaries.
