The Ministry of External Affairs has said that our attention was drawn to the statement gien by the Army Chief of Pakistan during his US visit. Giving nuclear threats is an old habit of Pakistan. The international community can draw conclusions by paying attention to such irresponsible statements of Pakistan.

The Indian government has reacted strongly to the nuclear threat given by Pakistan’s Army Chief Asim Munir from American soil. India has tried to show the mirror not only to Pakistan but also to America.

On Asim Munir’s threat, the Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement saying that our attention was drawn to the statement given by Pakistan’s Army Chief during his US visit. Giving nuclear threats is an old habit of Pakistan. The international community can draw conclusions by looking at such irresponsible statements of Pakistan. Pakistan is a threat not only to regional security but also to global security.

The Indian government said that it is also regrettable that such statements were given from the soil of a friendly nation. India has already made it clear that it will not tolerate nuclear blackmailing. We will take all possible steps for our national security.

Earlier, government sources associated with the Indian government had rejected Asim Munir’s statement related to nuclear threat, calling it extremely irresponsible. The government says that with such statements, Pakistan is putting regional and global security at risk. This should make the world worried about Pakistan’s nuclear capabilities.

The Indian government said that the statement of the Pakistani Army Chief is part of a pattern where he talks nonsense. Whenever America helps the Pakistani Army, it shows its true colors. This is an indication that there is no democracy in Pakistan, the army controls everything there. It is very dangerous for a non-state actor like Pakistan to have nuclear weapons in its hands.

What did Asim Munir say?

Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir had given a nuclear threat against India from American soil, saying that if Islamabad feels an existential threat from India, it will sink half the world with it.

Munir, who attended a dinner organized in Tampa, America, said, we are a nuclear-powered nation. If we feel that we are sinking, it will sink half the world with us.

Munir had also targeted India over the control of the Indus river during his second US visit in two months after the four-day conflict with India. He had said that we will wait for India to build a dam and when it does so, we will destroy it with ten missiles. The Indus river is not the property of any Indian family. We have no shortage of missiles.

Let us tell you that Munir is currently on an official visit to America. He has gone to Washington to attend the farewell ceremony of US Army General and United States Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Michael Kurilla. During his tenure, Kurilla had described Pakistan as an excellent partner to deal with terrorism.
