New Delhi: There can be talks of alliance between Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Haryana assembly elections. Congress can give 5 to 6 seats to AAP in the alliance. Right now the tussle between the two parties is going on regarding seats. In such a situation, it is believed that after one or two rounds of meetings, both the parties will reach some consensus.
There was a long discussion between Congress and AAP leaders on Sunday September 8 regarding the electoral alliance. After this meeting, AAP MP Raghav Chadha looked quite confident. He said that both the parties have desire, longing and hope for the alliance. The talks are moving in a positive direction, good news can be received soon.
Sources say that AAP was claiming 10 seats. Out of these, 4 seats are those on which Congress has decided its candidate. The party is not ready to give any of these seats. In such a situation, Congress has put the option of 5-6 seats in front of AAP. AAP is positive about the number, but the conflict over the seat continues.
A senior Congress leader says that AAP has been offered 5 seats. But the party is not in favor of ending the alliance over just 1 seat. In such a situation, if the matter is not settled on 5 seats, then the party can consider giving 1 more seat. The seats offered by the party to AAP include seats around the capital Delhi.
According to sources, Congress has offered 2 seats of Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency including Faridabad and Panipat Rural to AAP. AAP had won Kalayat and Pehowa seats in the Lok Sabha elections. Therefore, the claim here is strong. A decision on the alliance is expected soon.
