Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai reached Gol Bazar of capital Raipur at 8 pm today to visit and worship Lord Shri Ganesh, the remover of obstacles. The Chief Minister visited Lord Ganesha seated in the pandal of Shri Bajrang Navyuvak Mitra Mandal Ganeshotsav Samiti near the Hanuman temple here and put a 750 gram gold crown studded with nine gems, applied tilak and performed the ritualistic worship and aarti. The Chief Minister prayed to Lord Vighna Vinayak for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of Chhattisgarh.
It is worth mentioning that for the last 115 years, Shri Bajrang Nav Yuvak Mitra Mandal Ganeshotsav Samiti has been installing the Ganpati idol on Ganesh Chaturthi near the Hanuman temple located in Gol Bazar of the capital Raipur. The Ganesh idol installed here is the center of attraction not only in Gol Bazar but in the entire Raipur due to its grandeur. On reaching Gol Bazar, the Chief Minister was welcomed with drums and flower garlands by the officials of the Ganeshotsav Samiti and local traders. Here the committee greeted the Chief Minister by putting a garland of elephants on him. After Ganpati darshan and worship, the Chief Minister reached the more than 150-year-old Hanuman temple located nearby for darshan and worship. During this, Nitin Navin, Jagdalpur MLA Kiran Singh Deo, former MLA Shrichand Sundarani, Kedar Gupta were present with him.
