Raigarh: On the occasion of the closing ceremony of Chakradhar Samaroh, the poetry recitation of Dr. Kumar Vishwas and Padma Shri Dr. Surendra Dubey and other poets kept the audience entertained till late night. In the same program, Manasi Dutta and fellow artists gave a wonderful performance on Bihu dance. Also, the presentation of Gidi dance under the leadership of Anil Kumar Gadhwal from Bilaspur captivated everyone.

Poet Dr. Kumar Vishwas said about the Raigarh Chakradhar Samaroh that King Chakradhar Singh has built forts of songs along with the fort in Raigarh. Praising the audience of Chhattisgarh, he said that in foreign countries, money listens to poetry, whereas on coming to any area of ​​Chhattisgarh, it seems as if the mind is listening to poetry… When I walk fast, I miss the sights… Someone calls me crazy, someone thinks I am mad… Do not weigh old friendship with this new strength, this is the bitterness of relations, do not open it with conspiracies… As the poetry recitation was done, the audience kept clapping along with applause.

As soon as Dr. Surendra Dubey came on the stage and said that Tiger is still alive…the audience welcomed him with applause. Taking a jibe at Raigarh, he said that one thing is special about Raigarh, the people here are very cool… why do they ask for cigarettes with a matchbox in their hand…they have amazing self-confidence. Read the tables of two four times, eat Amtaha Bhaanta, suck the moong, go to Dongargarh after taking a bath in Rajim…this is what is called Chhattisgarh… He told that when he is asked on going out that what is worth seeing in Chhattisgarh, then he tickled the audience and said that one of them is me..

Sakshi Tiwari recited a poem on Veer Rasa. She said, I have become dark in your shade, I have lost my senses, I have become mad, since I met you I have become a lioness… Similarly she recited a poem on Shri Ram – It is difficult to become selfless, it is not easy to become Shri Ram in this world… Similarly she recited a poem on a passionate devotional song on Vande Mataram, say Vande Mataram… Dinesh Bawra made the audience laugh and also told about the ill effects of mobile phones in the present times. He said that it has taken away the fragrance of new books, the smell of turmeric on the invitation card of daughter’s wedding… Poet Sudeep Bhola kept the audience immersed in laughter and jokes by cracking jokes on politics. He made the audience laugh a lot on the numbers written on the toilets of Indian Railways.

The folk culture of Assam came alive at the Chakradhar Festival. Artists of Mezhankori Megh Mollar Sansthan showcased the rainbow culture of Assam on the stage. The audience was mesmerized and enjoyed the folk cultures of Assam. It is worth mentioning that Mezhankori Megh Mollar has successfully organised various cultural events, bringing the socio-ethnic aspects of Assam to the people and reminding people that Assam is more than just what meets the eyes. Mezhankori Meghmollar is a cultural organisation, founded in 2016. The organisation was founded by Manashi Dutta and Satyajit Borpatrago with the aim of doing something for the folk culture of Assam. Since then it has turned into a mission to promote and popularize Assamese culture. The institution formed a team of skilled, vibrant youth and performed in various events to popularise Assamese folk culture globally. The organisation has trained many artists, who have earned name and fame in the field. Mezhankori Meghmollar has performed more than 400 stage shows in Assam. We have also organised many workshops, special sessions and other events to popularise our folk culture among the new generation. Along with his 19-member team, he performed and won the love of the people by presenting Assamese folk culture, including Sattriya Nritya, Bihu, Missing, Rabha, Karbia and Deori.

On the last day of Chakradhar Samaroh, the traditional Gidi dance performance of Chhattisgarh received a lot of applause. The Lok Shringar Bharti Gidi dance group from Bilaspur, led by director Anil Kumar Gadhwal, won everyone’s heart with their wonderful performance.

The audience saw the group Gidi dance after a long time and enjoyed it thoroughly. It is worth mentioning that Gidi folk dance is one of the ancient folk cultures of Chhattisgarh state. Which is celebrated on the occasion of Hareli festival.

The scholars and elders of Chhattisgarh state believe that Gidi dance is a folk dance more than 2000 years old. The folk artists of Lok Shringar Bharti have revived this dance tradition and are preserving it. Gidi folk dance group has got the first place in the participation of 215 groups in the National Music and Dance Competition organized in Cuttack district of Odisha state. Similarly, Gidi dance has got the first place in the festival organised in Bareilly city of Uttar Pradesh among 200 teams and in the National Song and Dance, Drama Competition organised in Kolkata city of West Bengal among 195 teams. So far, Gidi folk dance has been performed by their team in 13 states of India. The most special thing about Gidi dance group is that even in today’s modern era, you will not see even a trace of modernity in this dance group.

Chhattisgarh Governor Ramen Deka honored the performing artists.

His Excellency Governor of Chhattisgarh Ramen Deka, who arrived as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the 39th Chakradhar Samaroh, honored the poets and performing artists with shawl, coconut and memento. On this occasion, Finance Minister and local MLA O.P. Choudhary, Lok Sabha MP Radheshyam Rathiya, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Devendra Pratap Singh, Director Culture Department Vivek Acharya, Collector Kartikeya Goyal, Superintendent of Police Divyang Patel and other public representatives were present.
