Raipur: January 29, 2026/ Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will release the 24th installment of the Chhattisgarh government’s Mahtari Vandan Yojana at a state-level program in Narayanpur on January 30. On this occasion, a total of Rs. 641.34 crore will be transferred to the bank accounts of 68,39,592 eligible women in the state through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).

It is noteworthy that the Chhattisgarh government launched the Mahtari Vandan Yojana on March 1, 2024, with the objective of making women economically empowered and self-reliant. Under this ambitious scheme, married women aged 21 years or older are being provided with financial assistance of Rs. 1,000 per month, enabling them to meet their daily needs and live a life of dignity.

Since the launch of the scheme, a total of Rs. 14,954.42 crore has been transferred directly to the bank accounts of women in the state through 23 installments. This system ensures financial transparency and has proven to be an effective initiative in the direction of women’s empowerment.

After Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai releases the 24th installment of Rs. 641.34 crore, the total amount distributed under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana will increase to Rs. 15,595.77 crore. This reflects the state government’s strong commitment to women’s welfare and empowerment and proves that millions of women in the state are directly benefiting from the scheme.
