Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the unfortunate incident of Raghunath Sahu’s death in a fire that occurred after the death of Shivprasad Sahu on September 15 in village Loharidih in Kawardha district. In the context of this incident, the Chief Minister has also removed 23 policemen posted there, including the Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector of Rengakhar police station, due to the incident of policemen beating up the villagers.

On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Collector and SP of Kabirdham district have been removed. Gopal Verma has been appointed the Collector of Kabirdham district in place of Kabirdham Collector Janmejay Mahobe. Kabirdham district Superintendent of Police Abhishek Pallav has been removed and Rajesh Kumar Agarwal has been posted as Superintendent of Police in his place. It is worth mentioning here that IPS Vikas Kumar posted as Additional Superintendent of Police in Kabirdham district has already been suspended.

In compliance with the instructions of magisterial investigation given by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Collector and District Magistrate Kabirdham has appointed Additional District Magistrate Nirbhay Kumar Sahu as the investigation officer and has asked him to investigate on the prescribed points and submit a report within 30 days. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo said that in future, negligence in any such incident will not be tolerated in any case and strict action will be taken against those concerned.
