Raipur: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) of the Government of India has granted approval to upgrade Bilaspur Airport from 3C-VFR to 3C-All Weather Operations (IFR) category. Reacting to this important decision, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai termed it a significant and far-reaching step towards the development of Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister Sai said that with this approval, aircraft operations will now be possible at Bilaspur Airport in all weather conditions. This will strengthen regional connectivity and provide passengers with safer and more convenient air services.
Chief Minister Sai said that the availability of all-weather operations will give new momentum to trade, industry, and tourism activities in Bilaspur and surrounding areas. This decision will encourage industrial investment and also help in creating new employment opportunities.
Chief Minister Sai expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu on behalf of the people of the state for this important decision. He said that under the guidance and support of Prime Minister Modi, modern infrastructure is expanding rapidly in Chhattisgarh, which is taking the state to new dimensions of development.
Chief Minister Sai expressed confidence that this achievement will provide a new direction for the economic, social, and industrial development of Bilaspur Airport and the entire Chhattisgarh, and will further strengthen the state’s position on the national aviation map
