Bastar Pandum is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of tribal art and culture
Raipur: The three-day Bastar Pandum, dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the tribal art and culture of Bastar, is set to witness a historic and grand closing ceremony on Monday February 9, 2026.
Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will be the chief guest at the event. The ceremony will be presided over by the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Vishnu Deo Sai.
This event, celebrated with the motto “Festival of Nature and Tradition,” is a powerful platform to showcase the essence of Bastar and its rich tribal culture to the world. This prestigious closing ceremony is scheduled to be held on Monday February 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Lalbagh Ground, Jagdalpur.
During the ceremony, Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu and the Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, Dr. Raman Singh, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma, will also be present.
Other dignitaries attending the event will include Culture Minister Rajesh Agarwal, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam, Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary, Revenue Minister Tankram Verma, Food Minister Dayaldas Baghel, Industries Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan, School Education Minister Gajendra Yadav, Skill Development Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, and Women and Child Development Minister Lakshmi Rajwade.
The Bastar Pandum will also be attended by the presence of Members of Parliament Mahesh Kashyap and Bhojraj Nag, MLAs Kiran Singh deo, Lata Usendi, Vinayak Goyal, Neelkanth Tekam, Vikram Usendi, Asharam Netam, Chaitram Atami, Savitri Manoj Mandavi, Lakheshwar Baghel, Vikram Mandavi, Mayor Sanjay Pandey, and other public representatives.
