Let us inform you why there is a tradition of using the soil of the brothel to make the idol of Maa Durga and what is the story behind it?

It is said that the sculptors who make the idol of Durga go to brothels and beg for soil from their courtyard. A sculptor begs from the prostitutes until he gets the soil. In ancient times, the priest of the temple used to be a part of this practice, but with the passage of time, apart from the priest, the sculptors also started bringing soil from the brothel. Apart from this, there is also a story that a prostitute was a devotee of Maa Durga, who was despised in the society. To save the prostitute from contempt, Durga Maa blessed her that the idol of Durga would not be considered sacred without using the soil from her courtyard.

The soil of the brothel is considered a symbol of emotions and sensibilities. A major objective of this practice is to promote social awareness and respect. Women working in brothels often face discrimination and disregard in society.

The soil of the brothel is considered sacred and pure, as the women living here face many challenges in their lives and yet they maintain their purity and chastity. Apart from this, the soil is considered a symbol of the power of Durga, who fights against the inequality and injustice prevailing in society.

The use of brothel soil in making the idol of Maa Durga also combines various aspects of culture. The idols made using brothel soil are not only gorgeous, but also have a special soul. Let us tell you that this tradition has been going on since ancient times, when the soil of the brothel was used to make the idol of the goddess.
