Officials sent to Maharashtra to assist the injured and affected families; Chhattisgarh Government coordinates with Maharashtra authorities
Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday , September 11, 2026 expressed profound grief over the death of residents of the State in a tragic road accident on the Nagpur–Raipur National Highway in Maharashtra’s Bhandara district.
Expressing his condolences in a post on X, Chief Minister Sai said the loss of lives in the accident was deeply distressing. He paid tribute to the deceased and conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families.
“The Maharashtra Government and the local administration are being continuously contacted and coordinated with,” the Chief Minister said in his post.
Sai said that on his directions, a team of officials from Chhattisgarh had been sent to the accident site to assist the injured and the affected families.
“A team of officials from Chhattisgarh has been sent to the spot to ensure proper treatment of the injured and provide necessary assistance to the affected families,” he said.
Assuring support from the State Government, Sai said:
“The Chhattisgarh Government stands with the affected families in this difficult time, and every possible assistance will be provided to them.”
The State Government is maintaining coordination with the Maharashtra authorities to facilitate medical treatment for the injured and extend necessary assistance to families affected by the accident.
