India beat South Africa by 61 runs in the first T20, Samson scored a century, Chakraborty and Bishnoi took 3-3 wickets

While the senior team is preparing for the Australia tour, Team Suryakumar made a great start to its campaign against hosts South Africa by defeating them by 61 runs in the first T20 match played in Durban on Friday. With the win in the first match, India has taken a 1-0 lead in the four-match series. Chasing a huge target of 203 runs to win, South Africa had a bad start when Markram (8) was dismissed early by Arshdeep.

South Africa did not get an innings like the one played by Sanju Samson. Captain Klaasen scored the highest 25 runs for them. The host team was all out after scoring 141 runs in 17.5 overs. Varun Chakraborty and Ravi Bishnoi were responsible for this, who took three wickets each. At the same time, India did not have a good start in the first innings, when Abhishek Sharma (7) was out soon, then captain Suryakumar Yadav (21) also could not stay on the wicket for long. But on one end, Sanju Samson’s (107 runs, 50 balls, 7 fours, 10 sixes) explosive style continued. They got a good contribution from Tilak Verma (33), but Hardik Pandya (2) and Rinku Singh (11) could not contribute much. And India managed to score 202 runs for 8 wickets in the quota of 20 overs. Gerald Coetzee took three wickets, while Marco Jason, Keshav Maharaj, Peter and Patrick Gruger took one wicket each
