A bus going from Almora to Haldwani fell into a ditch, 27 people were on board, three died, some are serious

Bhimtal Bus Accident: A bus going from Almora to Haldwani fell into a deep gorge. Three people have been confirmed dead in the accident. Some are seriously injured.

A fatal accident happened today on Wednesday December 25,2024 in Bhimtal of Kumaon division of Uttarakhand. A roadways bus coming from Almora to Haldwani fell into a 1500 feet deep gorge near Amdali on Bhimtal-Ranibagh motor road. 27 people travelling in the bus were thrown here and there after the bus fell into the gorge. Three people have been confirmed dead in the accident. While some are seriously injured.

As soon as the news of the accident was received, the police-administration reached the spot. The injured were brought to the road with the help of police and local people by placing them on ropes and shoulders. They were taken to CHC Bhimtal from the road. Rescue operation is going on.

The administrative staff has become alert. Sushil Tiwari has been kept on alert. 15 ambulances have been sent to Haldwani. Rescue teams are working on a large scale. There is difficulty in bringing patients due to the steep climb.

SP City, Nainital Dr. Jagdish Chandra said that the injured are being sent to Higher Center Haldwani for treatment. The rescue operation of Nainital Police and Relief Rescue Team is going on in the road accident. So far 24 injured passengers have been rescued safely.
