Attractive Tour Packages Launched for Tourists with 75% Subsidy
Raipur: The Chhattisgarh Tourism Department and IRCTC will soon launch special tour packages for tourists in Raipur and Bastar under the Chief Minister’s Public Tourism Promotion Scheme. This initiative is an important step towards promoting tourism while also showcasing the state’s cultural, religious, and natural heritage.
Under this scheme, four major tour packages will be operated from Raipur: Raipur City Tour, Raipur City Religious Tour, Raipur-Jagdalpur Circuit Tour, and Raipur-Sirpur-Baranwapara Circuit Tour. Each package will include air-conditioned vehicles, Hindi-English guides, meals, and travel insurance, ensuring a comfortable and safe journey for tourists.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai stated that this important scheme has been launched to bring tourism to the masses. This will not only boost economic development but will also strengthen Chhattisgarh’s identity at the national and international levels.
Tourism Minister Rajesh Agarwal stated that this scheme will promote local tourism and provide extensive employment opportunities.
He said, “We want Chhattisgarh’s natural beauty and cultural richness to be accessible to every tourist.”
Major Tour Packages
Raipur City Tour (Day Tour)
This tour will allow tourists to visit Raipur’s major landmarks—Ram Temple, Urja Park, Purkhauti Muktangan, Chhattisgarh Tribal Museum, Nandanvan Zoo, and Kaushalya Mata Temple. The package includes an air-conditioned vehicle, a Hindi/English guide, meals, and travel insurance. Departure will be from Raipur Railway Station.
Raipur City Religious Tour (Day Tour)
This religious-focused tour will include the Hanuman Temple, Maa Banjari Temple, Kaivalya Dham Jain Temple, ISKCON Temple, Mahamaya Temple, Danteshwari Mata Temple, Ram Temple, and Maa Kaushalya Mata Temple. The tour will also begin and end at Raipur Railway Station.
Raipur–Jagdalpur Circuit Tour (2 nights / 3 days)
This package includes a visit to the natural and cultural sites of the Bastar region—Jagdalpur, Chitrakoot, and Tirathgarh. Tourists will enjoy major attractions such as the Chitrakoot Falls, Kutumsar Caves, Kanger Valley National Park, and the Danteshwari Temple. Accommodation will be in a double-sharing hotel, with daily meals provided.
Raipur–Sirpur–Baranvapara Circuit Tour (1 night / 2 days)
This tour will include a visit to the historic temples of Sirpur and the Barnavapara Wildlife Sanctuary. The package includes snacks, meals, hotel accommodation, and air-conditioned vehicles. Tourists will also experience a thrilling jungle safari.
Tour Package Features
Each package requires a minimum group size of 10 people. Tourists will be provided with drinking water, snacks, lunch, and travel insurance during the trip. Children between 2 and 18 years of age will receive an 85% subsidy, and adults over 18 will receive a 75% subsidy.
All packages begin and end at Raipur Railway Station.
