New Delhi : Kailash Gehlot, who was a minister in the Aam Aadmi Party for 7 years, suddenly left the party and joined the BJP. A day after he joined the BJP, the former AAP leader said that I was associated with AAP because of ideology and principle. But now there is a dilution in it, which has not happened immediately. The former Delhi minister said that it takes time to understand some things; I have gathered the courage to leave the party, and in the coming days some more people may also do so.
Joined AAP due to ideological -values
Kailash Gehlot said, “In my letter, I have explained the main reason in detail. The main issues are the same… the values due to which we joined AAP – I also said in the press conference yesterday that I was one of those workers who were associated with an ideology. There are lakhs of people like me. I believe that a party is never formed by just one person. This is impossible; lakhs and crores of people join a party and unite the common people, they connect with the ideologies, values and principles of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP); but now it seems to be weakening; it takes time for the ideology-principle to weaken; when I felt this, I left the party.
Did not leave the party out of fear
On his first reaction on leaving the party, BJP leader Kailash Gehlot said, “In 2018, there was an Income Tax Department raid at my house, but I was not afraid. There must have been pressure on me even at that time. The CBI questioned me and I appeared before them as many times as I was called. I answered all their questions. I had said yesterday too that I have never worked out of fear, because there is no summons pending against me, no investigation is pending, and I answered their questions and cooperated in every possible way, so there must have been fear at that time too. No one knows about my ED-CBI interrogation. So what is this fear about. I had said yesterday too that I have never worked out of fear or pressure and there is no pressure on me.
