Prime Minister Modi said in a post, “I received a call from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He briefed me on the current situation. I shared India’s concerns and emphasised the need for early restoration of peace and stability in the region.”

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu made this call in connection with the ongoing conflict with Iran. On Friday, Israel carried out air strikes targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities, missile manufacturing sites and military commanders. 78 people have died in this and more than three people are reported to be injured.
Israel has named this operation ‘Operation Rising Lion’. Prime Minister Netanyahu called it a decisive moment in the country’s history and said that the center of Iran’s nuclear program has been targeted in this attack.
India has already expressed deep concern
India has already expressed deep concern about this situation. The Ministry of External Affairs had said that India is keeping a close watch on this development and appeals to both the countries to avoid any kind of further escalation of the situation.
Netanyahu spoke to many world leaders amid this tension, including German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and French President Emmanuel Macron.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has given a stern warning to Iran. He said that America makes the world’s deadliest weapons and Israel has many of them. He also said that Iran may now get a second chance to compromise.
