Akshay Shinde, accused of Badlapur case, died in an encounter, had snatched police revolver and opened fire

Akshay Shinde, the accused in the Badalpur rape case of Maharashtra, died after being shot in police custody. It is being said that he snatched the police revolver and tried to shoot himself. Meanwhile, the bullet hit a policeman. There is also a claim that he was shot in an encounter with the police, which led to his death.

Let us inform you that Akshay Shinde was a sweeper in a school in Badlapur, who was accused of raping two girls aged four and five years. This incident had created outrage in the entire area. Shinde was arrested on August 17 and was in jail since then. Due to heavy pressure from the public and the administration, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was also formed in this case.

The rape charges against Akshay Shinde were very serious. People were angry in Badlapur since this incident and were demanding strict punishment against the accused.

This incident also raised questions on the responsibility of the local people and the school administration. A case has also been registered against the president and secretary of the school under the POCSO Act, because they tried to hide the incident. Akshay Shinde’s death has given a new twist to this case. Now a detailed investigation is being done into this incident whether the police action was in self-defense or there is some other aspect to it. How Akshay Shinde died

On Monday September 23 evening, the police were taking Akshay Shinde from jail to Badlapur police station for transit remand. When the police vehicle reached near Mumbra bypass at around 6:30 pm, Shinde suddenly snatched the service revolver of API (assistant police inspector) Nilesh More. He then fired three bullets at Nilesh More. One bullet hit Nilesh’s leg, while two bullets misfired. Nilesh showed courage and tried to control Shinde despite being injured. Police inspector Sanjay Shinde, who was with him, fired two bullets at Akshay from his revolver in self-defense. One bullet hit his head and the other on his body.
