Bilaspur: Women of Ganiyari village expressed their displeasure over the unveiling of the statue of Chhattisgarh Mahtari and blocked the road to register their protest. The women said that they themselves had collected funds and got the statue built, but in their absence the Sarpanch and MLA unveiled it. Expressing their protest, the women raised slogans against the Sarpanch and MLA and blocked the road. The police and administration reached the spot and explained the situation, after which the anger of the women subsided and the blockade ended.
