Raipur.: On the occasion of ‘Teachers’s Day’, the birthday of India’s first Vice President and second President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh attended the Chief Minister’s Education Gaurav Alankaran ceremony organised at Padmashree Govindram Nirmalkar Auditorium, Rajnandgaon as the chief guest.
The program was presided over by MP Santosh Pandey. Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said in his address said that the special day of 5 September is celebrated as Teachers’ Day in the memory of former President of India Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who gave direction to India’s education system. With this thought and imagination of his, his birthday is being celebrated as Teacher’s Day. The lamp of education dispels the darkness of ignorance and the teachers, whom we consider as idols, give guidance for change in the creation of every era. Lord Shri Ram received education in the ashram of Guru Vashishtha, Lord Shri Krishna gave the knowledge of Gita to the world. He also received education in the ashram of Rishi Sandipani. Teachers are the ones who change the era. Chanakya changed the map of India by educating Chandragupta Maurya. Guru Dronacharya gave such education to Arjun, which was amazing in India
Swami Vivekananda’s Guru Sri Ramakrishna Paramhans brought about important changes in his life. In the context of Chhattisgarh, Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla gave his invaluable services as a teacher. There has been a glorious tradition of Guru in Rajnandgaon. Its fame is spread across the country and the world. The great litterateurs of the district Dr. Padumlal Punnalal Bakshi, Dr. Gajanan Madhav Muktibodh, Dr. Baldev Prasad Mishra have been witnesses in Digvijay Mahavidyalaya and have progressed as the best litterateurs.
There are so many such examples, who played their role in creating the change of era in the country and have given a message for education and knowledge to the world. Teachers always get respect. As the first Guru, mother is the first teacher and the first school of values starts from home. Mother has brought all of us here and the Gurus have been kind to us.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh honored 30 teachers of the district with Gyandeep Award and Shikshadoot Award in the Chief Minister Shiksha Gaurav Alankaran ceremony. District Education Officer Abhay Jaiswal also addressed the program. On this occasion, former MP Madhusudan Yadav, Vice President District Panchayat Vikrant Singh, President Janpad Panchayat Rajnandgaon Pratiksha Bhandari, President District Cooperative Central Bank Limited Rajnandgaon Sachin Baghel, Khubchand Parikh, Neelu Sharma, Ramesh Patel, Santosh Agarwal, Ashok Devangan other public representatives, Collector Sanjay Agarwal, Superintendent of Police Mohit Garg, Divisional Forest Officer Ayush Jain, District Panchayat CEO Suruchi Singh, along with a large number of teachers and common citizens were present.
