Narayanpur: There is news of the martyrdom of DRG’s head constable in an encounter between a joint team of DRG, BSF and Maoists in the Naxal-affected area of Chhattisgarh. It is being said that this encounter took place in the border area of Sonpur and Kohkameta of Abujhmad. In which DRG Narayanpur’s head constable Virendra Kumar Sori was martyred.
According to the information, a joint team of DRG and BSF had gone to the border area of Sonpur and Kohkameta on Tuesday December 3 ,2024 as part of the anti-Naxal search operation. There have been several intermittent encounters between security forces and Naxalites in this area since around 1 pm today on Thursday December 4, 2024 . As pee sources 36-year-old head constable Birendra Kumar Sori was martyred in the encounter. At present, the anti-Naxal patrol and search operation of the security forces is still going on at the encounter site.
