Bizarre step so that sister-in-law does not get the jewellery! Parents filed a case against in-laws

The parents have alleged that the in-laws had taken five lakh rupees and all the jewellery from Neetu. They wanted to gift these jewellery in their daughter’s wedding. They used to torture Neetu when she asked for the jewellery.

Vaishali ( Bihar ) :In Vaishali’s Mahanar police station’s Fatikwara village, a married woman committed suicide after being fed up with the harassment of her in-laws. The deceased was identified as Neetu Kumari, 28-year-old daughter of Sanoj Kumar, a resident of Gokhulpur village of Bidupur police station area. The deceased’s parents have alleged that the in-laws had taken five lakh rupees and all the married woman’s jewellery from Neetu. They wanted to gift these jewellery in their daughter’s wedding. When Neetu came to know that her in-laws would use her jewellery in the wedding, she started demanding her jewellery. After this, her in-laws started beating her. Fed up with all this, Neetu committed suicide. We were stunned by the news of her death.

Mahanar police station’s police engaged in investigation

Meanwhile, after the incident, the Mahanar police took the body in their custody and sent it to Sadar Hospital Hajipur for post-mortem and the matter is being investigated. Mahnar Thanedaar Vishwa Ranjan Singh said that as soon as the written application is received from the family of the deceased, the FIR will be registered and necessary action will be taken. After the incident, there is chaos among the family members of the deceased. The family members are inconsolable. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police of the local Mahnar police station took the body in their custody and sent it to Sadar Hospital Hajipur for postmortem and started investigating the case.

Parents pleaded to the police for justice
Parents said that in 2016, Neetu was married to Rajesh Kumar Singh, son of Brij Kishore Singh, resident of Fatikwara village of Mahanar police station area. Neetu’s husband did not work and they have two children. Right after the marriage, her in-laws started harassing Neetu. The in-laws took five lakh rupees from the married woman’s parents to get their daughter married. They took all the jewellery of the married woman and were not returning it to her. They used to beat her when she asked for it. Fed up with this, Neetu committed suicide. Her parents have pleaded to the police for justice.
