Bemetra: In his resignation letter, Bansi Patel said that he has served the Congress party for the last 52 years, but he is hurt by the controversies and decisions happening inside the party in recent times. In the letter, he had complained to state president Deepak Baij and other leaders about the situation in Bemetara district, but did not get any positive response.
He alleged that he was insulted in the selection of candidates for the urban body elections. Patel said that in violation of the party’s policies, candidates were selected in an unethical manner by some leaders and he is very hurt by this situation. He said that the true soldiers of the Congress party were neglected and tickets were given to people who were earlier active in the BJP. Patel also said that he never thought that he would have to see such humiliating days in the Congress party and that is why he is now resigning from the primary membership of the party and the post of district president.
