Chhattisgarh: 2 Naxalites become police constables

Kabirdham police has taken a significant step in the fight against Maoists by inducting two former Maoists from MMC area into its force.

This step is not only a significant effort towards peace and rehabilitation, but it will also become a source of inspiration for other Maoists. Former Maoists Diwakar and Teeju had surrendered leaving the path of violence of Maoism. Now they will be posted as constables in Kabirdham police.

1-Diwakar, who was the second vice commander (DVCM) and had a reward of ₹8 lakh on his head, surrendered in 2022.

2-. Teeju, who was the assistant commander (ACM) and had a reward of ₹5 lakh on his head, laid down his arms in 2021.

In a major turn in the fight against Maoists, Kabirdham police has inducted two former Maoists from the MMC area into its squad. Now these two former Maoists will join the police force and protect the society. This move has given a new direction to the ongoing fight against Maoists.

This is not only a significant contribution towards peace and security, but it will also inspire other Maoists to leave the path of violence and join the mainstream of society. This decision of Kabirdham police definitely indicates a positive change and will promote peace and stability in the society.
