Raipur – Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly : The issue of illegal plotting was raised loudly in the assembly on Tuesday December 17 , 2024 . Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma was seen surrounded by questions raised by the ruling party. After a long debate in the House, on the instructions of the Speaker, the minister has announced in the House to take action by forming a high-level committee. The Speaker has also instructed to make its report available in the House within a month.
BJP MLA Anuj Sharma raised this issue through a call for attention notice and naming some villages of his assembly constituency Dharsiwan, said that illegal plotting is being done by colonisers there . The illegal plotting is being done without the permission of the Village and Urban Investment Department and RERA. What plan has the government made to stop this? The Revenue Minister accepted that illegal plotting is being done by colonisers and land mafia in many districts of the state. He informed the House about taking a decision soon to stop this. Intervening in this matter, Speaker Dr. Raman Singh directed the minister to form a high level committee of Urban Administration, Housing and Environment and Revenue Department to investigate the matter and provide its information to the House within a month. Finance Minister O P Choudhary also supported it and said that strict action is needed to stop illegal encroachment .
