Chief Minister Sai attends the Siddhishikhar Vijay Utsav of Jain community, says – Jainism has a great tradition of apologizing for mistakes

 Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today on September 9 participated in the Siddhishikhar Vijay Utsav on Siddhitpaki Purnahuti organised by the Jain community at Sardar Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in Budhapara. On this occasion, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that there is a tradition of penance in the Jain community and such penance will bring prosperity and happiness to Chhattisgarh. A total of 114 ascetics, including an 11-year-old son, a 13-year-old daughter and an 80-year-old mother, did rigorous sadhana for 44 days by observing 4500 types of fasts as per the Jain tradition. We have honored them today.

Chief Minister Sai said that the saints and sages of Jain society travel thousands of miles on foot without footwear. They keep a disciplined diet and pray for the welfare of human society. He said that Jainism is a religion where there is a great tradition of accepting mistakes and asking for forgiveness. Chief Minister Sai said that I bow down to the feet of the saints who visited the holy land of Lord Ram’s maternal home and mother Kaushalya. Chhattisgarh has always been receiving their blessings, I wish that with their blessings, there should be prosperity in the state and there should be happiness and prosperity in every home.

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, while presiding over the program, said that Chhattisgarh has always been receiving the blessings of saints. This spiritual penance was possible with the inspiration of the saints. There has always been strength and inspiration from the blessings of the gurus. Dr. Singh said that Lord Ram’s maternal home has always been an island of peace and I wish that there should be happiness and prosperity here. Today I have got the good fortune of being among such ascetics.

Raipur MP Brijmohan Agrawal said that many congratulations to the ascetics of Jain community. Agrawal said that their penance has made the Dharambhumi and Karmabhumi of Chhattisgarh prosperous and happy. All should imbibe the teachings of saints in their lives.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai , Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh and other guests felicitated the ascetics. Pujya Jaipal Vijayji Maharaj also delivered an address. He said that Jainism believes in non-violence and compassion. It considers consumerism a kind of violence. The penance of our saints and sages is for the welfare of the world and the nation. The ethics and thoughts of Jainism have the height of Everest and the depth of Atlantic. He said that 114 ascetics have hoisted the victory flag on Siddhi peak with their hard penance. Pujya Priyadarshi Vijayji Maharaj and Pujya Tirtha Prem Vijayji Maharaj were also present on this occasion. MLA Rajesh Moonat, Gajraj Pagaria, Swaroop Chand Jain were also present in the program. The program was organised by Jain Shwetambar Murti Pooja Samaj and Chaturmas Committee. Officers and members of the entire Jain community were present on this occasion.
