Raipur. Chhattisgarh: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai hoisted the flag and took the salute of the parade at the state level function of 78th Independence Day organized at the Police Parade Ground in the capital Raipur this morning.
On this occasion, 16 platoons saluted by doing an attractive march past under the leadership of Parade Commander Ravindra Meena. Chief Minister Sai awarded the first prize to Central Industrial Security Force among the Central Forces and the first prize to Chhattisgarh Armed Force (Women) among the State Forces for the attractive march past.
In the main function of 78th Independence Day, Parade Commander Ravindra Meena inspected the parade at Police Parade Ground. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai got introduced to the parade commanders.
On this occasion, Director General of Police Ashok Juneja accompanied the Chief Minister. Platoons fired in joy. The Chief Minister congratulated and wished the people of the state on Independence Day. He released colorful balloons symbolizing joy and happiness in the sky and read out a message to the public focusing on the work, policies and schemes being done by the state government for the continuous development of the state.
For the attractive march past, Central Industrial Security Force got first place among the Central Forces, Indo-Tibetan Border Security Force got second place and Odisha Police got third place, which were awarded by Chief Minister Sai.
Similarly, among the state forces, Chhattisgarh Armed Force (Women) got first prize, Jail Platoon got second place and Central Armed Force (Men) got third prize. For NCC, NCC Junior Boys got first prize and NCC Junior Girls got second prize, by the Chief Minister.
