Gariaband. Independence Day 2024: The 78th Independence Day was celebrated in a dignified atmosphere today at the Police Parade Ground of Gariaband, the district headquarters. Raipur Lok Sabha constituency MP Brijmohan Agarwal hoisted the flag at the main function and took the salute of the parade.
Collector Deepak Kumar Agarwal and Senior Superintendent of Police Amit Tukaram Kamble were present on the stage. After the flag hoisting, all the citizens present sang the national anthem.
The chief guest of the ceremony, Agarwal read out the message of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai to the public. The chief guest released a balloon symbolizing prosperity into the sky. In the ceremony, the chief guest was saluted under the direction of Parade Commander Reserve Inspector Sanat Kumar Thakur.
In the program, school children presented a cultural program full of patriotism and tradition and culture of Chhattisgarh. The musical dance and art presentation of the children captivated the audience. On this occasion, officers and employees who did excellent work were honored. Chief guest Agarwal met the family members of the martyr’s family and honored them by giving them shawl and coconut.
