Paying gtatitude to the memory of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, Chief Minister Yogi said that under Mahatma Gandhi’s leadership, India’s freedom movement demonstrated to the entire world the power of truth and non-violence. The Chief Minister said that Swadeshi held an important place in Mahatma Gandhi’s values and ideals.
After offering flowers to the portraits of both great personalities on the first floor of the residential building of the Gorakhnath Temple, the Chief Minister expressed his gratitude, remembering the personalities of the Father of the Nation and the former Prime Minister and their unforgettable contributions to the nation. On this occasion, he said that the double-engine government is realizing the dreams of Bapu and Shastri.
Paying homage to the memories of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, CM Yogi said that under Mahatma Gandhi’s leadership, India made the entire world realize the power of truth and non-violence during India’s freedom movement. The Chief Minister said that Swadeshi held an important place in Mahatma Gandhi’s values and ideals.
Following the path of truth and non-violence to uproot foreign rule, Swadeshi became a pillar to unite the countrymen. Today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Swadeshi is becoming a model for the country and the world to realize Bapu’s dreams. The Uttar Pradesh government’s ODOP (One District One Product) scheme, rooted in Swadeshi, is reaching new heights of success.
Swadeshi is not limited to Khadi; it is part of India’s daily routine.
The Chief Minister said that Swadeshi is not limited to Khadi alone but is becoming a part of India’s daily routine. In line with PM Modi’s call, Swadeshi is becoming a guarantee of self-reliance in India, from chips to ships.
CM Yogi informed that the state government organized the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show in Greater Noida from September 25th to 29th to provide a platform for Uttar Pradesh products and bring them to the global market.

Referring to Uttar Pradesh’s progress in the Swadeshi brand, he said that today, the BrahMos missile is being manufactured in Uttar Pradesh’s Defense Manufacturing Corridor. AK rifles are being manufactured. Production of the Babble Scott pistol has begun in Hardoi. Uttar Pradesh has made a significant leap forward in the field of Swadeshi.
Swadeshi Fair in Every District Before Diwali
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that to further promote Swadeshi, he has directed to organize Swadeshi Fairs in every district of the state before Diwali, modeled after the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show. A 25 percent discount on the purchase of Khadi products is also being launched in the state starting today.
He urged people to gift Khadi and other Swadeshi products during Diwali to promote Swadeshi. This will encourage and respect artisans and craftsmen, and will also lead to increased employment and self-employment, as well as economic prosperity for the country.
Cleanliness is India’s Brand Today
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Mahatma Gandhi loved cleanliness the most. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has elevated sanitation to new heights through the Swachh Bharat Mission. Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, 120 million toilets have been built across the country. This has honored women’s dignity, prevented diseases, and saved people financially. The Chief Minister stated that today, cleanliness is our identity and India’s brand.
Prime Minister Shastri made the world realize India’s strength.
Paying tribute to the country’s second Prime Minister, Lal Bahadur Shastri, on his birth anniversary, the Chief Minister said that he was a front-line fighter in the freedom movement. He was a staunch follower of Bapu and a proponent of self-reliance through Swadeshi. Shastri provided a model for self-reliance in the agricultural sector. He strengthened the resolve for self-sufficiency in the food sector with the slogan “Jai Jawan Jai Kisan.”
He also conveyed the message that India stands for peace, but if anyone imposes war on it, it will be given a befitting reply. The victory achieved under Shastri’s leadership in the 1965 war against Pakistan demonstrated the country’s strength to the world.

CM Yogi also extended Vijayadashami greetings
On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also extended Vijayadashami greetings to the people of the state. He said that our festivals and celebrations symbolise unity, peace, and harmony. We should incorporate this virtuous spirit into our lives. He paid obeisance to Lord Shri Ram, the embodiment of Maryada Purushottam (the Supreme Being), and said that his life provides us with new inspiration.
Mayor Dr. Manglesh Srivastava, BJP State Vice President and MLC Dr. Dharmendra Singh, MLA Vipin Singh, BJP Metropolitan Coordinator Rajesh Gupta, and Municipal Corporation Executive Vice Chairman Pawan Tripathi were also present on the occasion.
