The induction program was organised for the first year students of the Department of Computer Science at Pragati College Chaubey Colony on Tuesday, August 6 .
The main objective of this program was to make the students aware of the curriculum and evaluation method in accordance with the National Education Policy 2020. Students were invited to the said induction program to make the new students feel comfortable in the new environment and to teach them the special tradition and culture of the college.
The program was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Soumya Nayyar and Head of the Department Manu Rawani , administrator Ms. Jyoti Thakur and other guests on the dais by Maa Saraswati Puja and lighting of lamps. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Soumya Nayyar emphasis on quality education saying that education is an integral part of human life. Education and knowledge are not only necessary for personal development, but it is also necessary for the welfare and development of the society. Education makes the students strong and powerful and gave brief description of the main points of the National Education Policy 2020. The Head of the Department Manu Rawani asked the newly admitted students that they should understand the features of the National Education Policy and move forward on the path of success by taking full advantage of it.
In the induction program , self-composed poetry, essay, photography, singing, painting competitions were also organised to encourage the newly admitted students. Various types of cultural and sports competitions were also organised by the senior students on this occasion. BCA and BSc first year students were awarded on the basis of marks obtained in class XII. In the series of prize distribution, winners of various competitions were also awarded. On this occasion, syllabus, class timetable and inspirational books were also distributed to the newly admitted students. The program was concluded with the Chhattisgarhi state song. The program was conducted by Assistant Professor Dr. Manpreet Kaur.
