Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday August 11 , 2025 inaugurated development works worth ₹186 crore for Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district. At a programme held in the premises of Government Lochan Prasad Pandey College in Sarangarh, the Chief Minister inaugurated projects worth ₹96 crore and performed bhoomipujan for works worth ₹90 crore. He also announced various local-level public utility projects worth ₹13.40 crore from the stage.

In his address, CM Sai said that he had served Sarangarh for many years as an MP, and now, as the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, he has been working with full dedication and commitment for the past one-and-a-half years to lead the state on the path of development. He said that the state government is taking concrete steps to fulfil the guarantees given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Paddy is being procured from farmers at the rate of 21 quintals per acre for ₹3,100 per quintal. Approval has been granted for the construction of 18 lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and the construction for beneficiaries is progressing at such a rapid pace that villages are facing a shortage of masons and centering plates.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that the Mahtari Vandan Yojana has provided economic support to 70 lakh women in the state. With the monthly amount received under the scheme, women are starting their own businesses. In Danasra village of Sarangarh district, mothers and sisters have used the Mahtari Vandan funds to take the initiative to build a Ram temple, a move that has become known across the state. The procurement price of tendu leaves has been increased. Financial assistance of ₹10,000 each is being given to 5.62 lakh agricultural landless labourers. Under the Shri Ramlal Darshan Yojana, as many as 22,000 devotees have so far visited Ayodhya Dham for the darshan of Lord Shri Ram.

Revenue and District In-charge Minister Tankaram Verma said that over the past one-and-a-half years, the government has been accelerating development works in both rural and urban areas of the state. He said that the infusion of crores worth of development works in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district will boost public amenities here.

MP Radheshyam Rathiya said that development and infrastructure expansion work in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district is progressing rapidly. Along with basic facilities like roads, education, and health, works like PM Awas Yojana are being prioritised.

Jagdalpur MLA Kiran Singh Deo said that under the leadership of CM Vishnu Deo Sai, the state is not only implementing PM Narendra Modi’s welfare schemes on the ground but also taking development to new heights. He said the ₹186 crore development package will strengthen the district’s infrastructure.

On this occasion, CM Vishnu Deo Sai announced the following projects: construction of Gaurav Path from Bharat Mata Chowk via Garh Chowk to Kosir Chowk for ₹5 crore; ₹1 crore for garden construction under Sarangarh Municipality; ₹3 crore for the construction of a PG College building in Sarangarh; ₹2.5 crore for the renovation of the Indoor Stadium in Sarangarh; ₹1 crore for repairs to the boys’ hostel in Sarangarh; ₹40 lakh for constructing a patient facility room at the new district hospital; and ₹50 lakh for expanding facilities at the Sarangarh bus stand.

The programme was attended by Chhattisgarh Housing Board Chairman Anurag Singhdeo, along with other public representatives, officials, and distinguished citizens.
