Raipur: Creating employment and self-reliant Gram Panchayats is a key objective of our government. For this, we have sanctioned almost 1.5 times more funds in the budget. These remarks were made by Union Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Chouhan praised the rapid pace of housing construction in Chhattisgarh, calling it a role model for other states. He also commended the “More Village, More Water” mega-campaign launched in villages, highlighting its significant contribution to water conservation.

He instructed state officials to connect more women with self-help groups through the “Lakhpati Didi” scheme to make them self-reliant and to ensure that wage payments are not delayed under any circumstances.

He also directed senior officials to formulate a special strategy to complete pending projects in the Bastar division. He said that Bastar has been deprived of development for a long time. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we will work proactively for the overall development of Bastar.
