At the same time, BJP’s North West Delhi MP Yogendra Chandolia had said that the new Chief Minister should be elected from among the newly elected MLAs of the party. Another senior leader of Delhi BJP also said that someone from among the newly elected MLAs should be made the Chief Minister. He also said that this will respect the mandate given to the party. Citing the example of senior BJP leader Vijay Kumar Malhotra, he said that in the past also senior party leaders have set an example.
Central leadership will play an important role

BJP ends 27 years of exile
BJP won 48 seats in the Delhi Assembly elections. Aam Aadmi Party could win only 22 seats. While Congress was reduced to ‘zero’ for the third consecutive time. BJP won for the first time in Delhi in 1993. Since then BJP was facing exile in the national capital for 27 years.
