Raipur. The Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee has fixed interim fees regarding the high fee collection by private medical colleges of Chhattisgarh. Under this, the fees for MBBS seats of three private medical colleges and postgraduate (PG) seats run in two private medical colleges have been fixed.
The fees will be applicable from the year 2024 to 2027. Officials of the Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee said that in the fee determination for Shri Balaji Institute of Medical Sciences Mowa, Rawatpura Sarkar Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Center Nava Raipur and Abhishek I Mishra Memorial College and Research, Junwani Bhilai, the highest fee of Rs 8 lakh 2 thousand 7 hundred per year has been fixed in Sri Balaji.
In both Rawatpura Sarkar Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Center and Abhishek I Mishra Memorial College and Research Junwani Bhilai, Rs 7 lakh 45 thousand 187 per year has been fixed for MBBS course.
Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) Godhi For postgraduate clinical seats, students will have to pay a fee of 9 lakh 84 thousand 500 rupees per year. Whereas for pre-clinical/para-clinical, the fee has been fixed from Rs 7.92 lakh to Rs 8.48 per year. For postgraduate clinical seats in Sri Sankaracharya Institute of Medical Sciences Junwani Bhilai, students will have to pay a fee of 10 lakh 54 thousand rupees per year.
Similarly, for pre-clinical/para-clinical, the fee has been fixed at Rs 8 lakh 48 thousand 200 per year. The regulatory committee has fixed the fee after meeting and looking at the inspection of private medical colleges, investigation, the prevailing fee rate in neighboring states and the situation of Chhattisgarh, average per capita income etc. Officials of the Fee Regulatory Committee have said that all facilities are included in the interim fixed fee for medical courses.
The institutes have been directed that no additional amount will be charged from the medical students in the items like uniform, ID card, laboratory, various cultural programs, sports, NSS, building, furniture, equipment etc. in addition to the fees fixed every year. If any fee is charged in excess of the fixed amount, action will be taken against the private medical colleges.
