Penpa Tsering, the head of the exiled Tibetan government, has rejected China’s claims of the next reincarnation of the Dalai Lama. He said that China should first go through the reincarnation process of its leadership. Tsering called China’s ‘Golden Urn’ process against the ancient tradition of Tibet and said that the Dalai Lama himself will decide where he will be reborn.

The issue of Dalai Lama’s successor (reincarnation) is once again in the headlines. The supreme religious leader of Tibetan Buddhists, Dalai Lama, has given a clear message to China and his followers that the institution of Dalai Lama will continue. After this statement of religious leader Dalai, there has been a stir from China, India to America. At the same time, a wave of happiness has spread among the Lamas of Tibet.

What did Penpa Tsering, the head of the Tibetan government in exile, say?

Penpa Tsering, the head of the Tibetan government in exile, has strongly opposed the attempt to interfere in the matter of the reincarnation of the Dalai Lama. He called China’s interference completely meaningless and said that reincarnation is a spiritual process. In such a situation, how can China decide where the next Dalai Lama will be born. The spiritual guru himself decides where he has to be born.

This statement of Penpa Tsering has come before the 90th anniversary of the religious leader Dalai Lama. He leads the exiled Tibetan government from McLeodganj in Dharamshala.

He said that China first needs to study about Tibetan culture, Buddhism and life after death. If China really believes in the process of reincarnation, then they should first try to find the reincarnation of their leaders like Mao Zedong, Jiang Zemin and others.

Penpa Tsering said – China wants that the process of selecting the next Dalai Lama should be done under the ‘Gold Urn’ process and with their permission. But this process of China is different from the tradition. Under this process, the Ching dynasty started it for the first time in 1793 to increase its influence over Tibet. However, before this 8 Dalai Lamas were selected without this process.

The process of the Ching dynasty is not our ancient tradition. He also clarified that the successor will not be announced on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the religious leader Dalai Lama. Many people had the misconception that the successor would be announced on this day. But this will not happen. Religious leader Dalai Lama himself has said that he will live for another 20 years and will give information related to his successor at the right time.

Penpa Tsering also accused China of creating a rift among the Buddhist community in Tibet. He said that China’s purpose will not succeed and it will have the opposite effect. The attitude of China will not continue if we raise our voice against it.
