He said that the decision of 108 armed Maoist cadres carrying a bounty of ₹3.29 crore in Jagdalpur to abandon the path of violence and return to the mainstream of society is a clear indication of a positive shift towards peace, good governance, and development in Bastar.

Chief Minister Sai said that these surrendered Maoist cadres included 44 women Maoists. This demonstrates that the people of Bastar are now increasingly confident in moving forward on the path of development and peace, he noted.
